HOW TO REFRESH YOUR BROWSER

"Help! The newest version of the latest energy alert is not showing on my computer screen! The energy alert from several days ago is all that seems to be posted."

I can assure you, the newest version has indeed been posted, even though you may not be seeing it. All computers refresh their browsers at regular intervals, thus updating their screens. Some immediately, others after several days, and some not at all. For intructions on how to refresh your browser, please see below:

(If you are still not viewing the newest version of the energy alert, you will need to check into this situation with your specific computer and its settings. There are also many new browsers out there now, and they are all different! :D)

To set your browser to refresh every time you view a new page (in the standard browsers):

Internet Explorer 6.0 with SP1 or SP2:

1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
2. Under Temporary Internet Files, select Settings.
3. Under Check for newer versions of stored pages, select Every visit to the page.
4. Select OK to close the dialog box.

Netscape Navigator:

To refresh a page at any time:
· Click the Reload button in the browser's Navigation Toolbar. The computer checks the network to make sure you have the latest version of the page.

 

Or you may press F5 or simply delete your cookies under Tools in your Internet Options selection.
